If you’re looking for something to help grow your hair here are some amla masks that will grow your hair fast.
Amla is an Indian Gooseberry that has many different uses. I have only used amla for hair growth.
After a short haircut I was looking for anything that would help with hair growth.
And one of the thing I found was that amla masks will help your hair grow.
After researching I decided I wanted to give this a try and found that I could purchase it locally.
Beyond growing my hair it helped my hair feel thicker & stronger. My hair was shiny and smooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Amla For Hair
There are many benefits of amla for haircare. It has a lot of essential fatty acids that penetrate hair follicles which helps your hair to absorb all of the nutrients.
This is great because your hair is getting exactly what it needs to flourish and grow long & healthy.
Amla Helps:
- Condition your hair & scalp
- Reduce gray hair
- Promotes healthy hair growth
- Reduce hair fall
- Helps with dandruff
- Gives hair volume
- Hair feel thicker (because of less hair fall)
- Strengthens hair
- Gives hair a shine
- Prevents frizz
Amla is jam packed with nutrients that allows it to provide all these benefits to our hair. Amla can get a little messy but it’s one of my favorite hair masks.
Here I’ll show you some amla masks that will grow your hair.
Amla + Coconut Oil
This is probably one of the ones that I use most often. I usually always have coconut oil around that house.
Coconut oil has many benefits that help your hair, it also absorbs into the hair follicles really well because of its smaller molecules.
How to make:
2 teaspoons of amla powder
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
*note these measurements depend on the length of your hair*
*You can warm the oil if you like, some people heat the oil and add the powder in a pot and let simmer to infuse the oil with amla*
*This is not necessary*
Mix together very well and apply from scalp to ends. Leave it in for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Wash with shampoo & conditioner.
Amla + Water
Amla can also simply be used with water if you have no other ingredients around you.
This fruit has so many nutrients for your hair that you don’t necessarily need to mix oils into it.
How to make:
2 teaspoons of amla powder
2 tablespoons of water
*these measurements depend on how long your hair is*
Mix water in slowly until you get a consistency that you can spread through your hair easily.
Apply from scalp to the ends. Leave in for 45 mins to 1 hr, then wash out with shampoo & conditioner.
Amla + Shikakai + Brahmi + Water
Shikakai is another powder that like amla, has many nutrients for the hair. It has vitamin C which is great for hair growth and antioxidants that help fight free radicals.
Brahmi is also like amla that has nutrients and helps the hair from thinning out or falling. It protects against split ends and dandruff.
If I have these three powders around I like to mix them together and use them as a mask.
How to make:
½ to 1 teaspoon amla
½-1 teaspoon skikakai
½-1 teaspoon brahmi
1-3 tablespoons of water
Again the amount of these powders that you use depends on the length of your hair. Mix water in slowly until you have a consistency that is easy to apply. Apply from the scalp to the ends.
Leave in for 45 mins to 1hr, then wash out with shampoo & conditioner.
Amla + Yogurt + Egg
The protein is yogurt can promote healthy strong hair while the lactic acid helps to cleanse the scalp from dead skin cells.
The yogurt also helps to nourish & condition the hair.
Eggs can add vitamins to your scalp when applied which helps your hair to grow stronger while reducing breakage and shedding.
This can lead to fuller thicker hair. Eggs can also help your hair to grow faster.
How to make:
1 to 2 teaspoons of amla
1-2 tablespoons
1-2 eggs
*use what you think you need for your hair needs*
Mix together well and apply from the scalp to the ends. Leave in for 45 mins -1 hour, wash (WITH COLD WATER) out with shampoo & conditioner.

Olive oil, like coconut oil is another great oil for hair, it conditions the hair leaving it shiny and nourished.
How to make:

Use for your hair needs.
Mix all ingredients adding the right amount of oil for a consistency that is easy to apply to your hair. Apply from scalp to ends. Leave in for 45 mins to 1 hour. Wash out with shampoo & conditioner.
Amla + Fenugreek
Fenugreek is more commonly used for hair loss and dandruff. It also promotes hair growth and stronger hair.
How to make:
1-2 teaspoons of amla
1 or 2 tablespoons of fenugreek
*fenugreek can be made different ways you can use the seeds and add oil and let sit for a week to infuse or you can add cold water and let it infuse overnight and use oil or water in this mixture*
**if you want a quicker way you can warm the oil in a pan and add the seeds in and simmer to infuse faster**
Apply from scalp to ends and leave on for 45 mins to 1 hr. Wash out with shampoo & conditioner.
