CLEANSE YOUR SKIN
I know this seems like an obvious one but you have to wash your face. Especially in the Summer time.
You may even have to cleanse your skin more times for the day than your use to. But be careful with this because you don’t want to over wash your face.
With this I would just make sure you skin feels clean but not dry.
Here are some great cleanser that you can use:
KATE SOMERVILLE ERADIKATE DAILY CLEANSER ACNE TREATMENT
PAULA’S CHOICE RESIST PERFECTLY BALANCED FOAMING CLEANSER
KATE SOMERVILLE GOAT MILK MOISTURIZING CLEANSER
BIORE DEEP PORE CHARCOAL FACE WASH
HAVE A GOOD SKINCARE ROUTINE
Having a good skincare is optimal to Summer skincare. And following that routine will help keep your skin looking amazing.
The Summer can be rough on your skin but if you have a good routine and follow it you don’t have to worry as much.
Keeping my skincare routine simple is what usually works for me.
And in the Summer I try to make it even simpler because using too many products tend to break me out.
If you don’t simplify your skincare routine, then try to lighten your products. For instance you don’t want to use the same moisturizer that you use in the Winter in the Summer.

SUNSCREEN
Sunscreen is the most important of all of these skincare tips for Summer. And that is because the sun can do so much damage to your skin.
Not wearing sunscreen is not only damaging to the skin but it can cause skin cancer.
Also you have to reapply sunscreen throughout the day. This is very important to protect your skin.
Here are some of the sunscreens that are really good:
ELTA MD BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 46 TINTED
SHISEIDO ULTIMATE SUN PROTECTOR LOTION SPF 50+
SHISEIDO URBAN ENVIRONMENT OIL-FREE SUNSCREEN BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 42
EXFOLIATE
Exfoliating is beneficial to do at any time but it’s necessary to do in the Summer time.
The heat and grime that gets on your skin on a daily basis needs to be removed and sometimes just a cleanser won’t cut it.
Exfoliating always makes my skin feel so much more refreshed and clean. It also helps to remove the top layer of dead skin for smooth, glowing skin.
Here are some of my favorites:
KATE SOMERVILLE EXFOLIKATE INTENSIVE PORE EXFOLIATING TREATMENT
THE ORDINARY AHA 30% + BHA 2% EXFOLIATING PEELING SOLUTION
DR. BRANDT POREDERMABRASION PORE PERFECTING EXFOLIATOR
ADD VITAMIN C TO YOUR ROUTINE
So if you aren’t already using a vitamin C serum what are you waiting for? This is a great product fir any skin type.
But if your skin is acne prone and you have hyperpigmentation, vitamin C is your best friend.
Being in the sun a lot in the Summer can cause dark spots on your skin and this is something vitamin C helps with too.
Here is my favorite vitamin C serum:
iS CLINICAL SUPER SERUM ADVANCED PLUS
This is one I’ve used and saw a huge impact on my skin. It’s a pricy serum but it is so worth the money.
MOISTURIZE
This may be a step that you want to skip because it may be too heavy for your skin but don’t.
This is where using lighter products come in. You’ll want to switch out your Winter moisturizer for a lighter Summer moisturizer. Maybe even go oil-free with your moisturizer.
But skipping this step is not something you want to do. Find something that works for your skin and use that.
Here are some lighter moisturizers:
SUMMER FRIDAYS CLOUD DEW OIL-FREE GEL CREAM MOISTURIZER
DRUNK ELEPHANT PROTINI POLYPEPTIDE FIRMING MOISTURIZER
THE WATER CREAM OIL-FREE PORE MINIMIZING MOISTURIZER
NO MAKEUP OR LESS MAKEUP
Some makeup products can be pore clogging and this can cause acne. So the best thing to do is steer clear from makeup.
But if you don’t want to stay away from the makeup then try to use noncomedogenic makeup, which is makeup that will not clog your pores.
Also if you are using makeup try to use products that have SPF in it, this way it’s protecting your skin.
